Join me in Learning the Ropes
I am learning how little I actually know about many things, but that is the beginning of change and growing to a new level.
Reaching a new level is a scary and intimidating thing.
There is the possibility of failing which I don’t like. There is also the potential for great gain. But what is certain is when you’re trying to do something new, it will take a great deal more time and effort than what you’d mastered before.
So, if you’re someone who is starting something difficult, I invite you to join me.
This last week I decided to try two things simultaneously—start 4 separate substacks and go on a nutritional detox. I don’t recommend it. If you’ve ever done a detox you know the first 4 days are grueling and not conducive to focus and concentration.
I love substack, let me say that first, so nothing I am saying here is a bash of this amazing platform and all it offers. It is very much like my beloved blogger from 18 years ago and it offers the kind of support and friendship I knew on social media in 2009, when the pages were full of people’s meals and videos of cats.
I’m so excited to be in this new medium and be able to share with others that I spent 3 full days reading posts about how to reach people, how to connect, what the culture was, how to NOT annoy people, and many more things.
The Community and the Mission
I have found so many people who I’m excited to learn more about that it has been hard to keep up on what everyone is doing. I love reading things that are functional and that challenge me, but I am also excited to read about the stories and experiences of fellow fiction writers, like me.
I started this particular substack as a place where I could share my ups, downs, and lessons with others who are learning the ropes of a new adventure.
If you are new here on substack, or you’re supporting those who are.
If you’re working to grow a new business.
If you’re trying to grow in a new area-personal, professional, or otherwise
Or if you just like to talk to people who are, this is your place.
I plan to post weekly about lessons I learn, a-ha moments, mistakes along the way, and some of my wins.
I would love for you to subscribe, post in the comments what brings you to our humble page, and anything else you’d like to share.
DID YOU KNOW……
I actually have 4 substacks. This one is the more general, reflection on the process one, but if one of my other 3 are more useful for you, I wanted you to know about them
